In the last decades, open-source software has become increasingly popular as a means of developing innovative and cost-effective solutions to real-world problems and has been widely used by researchers. The presentation illustrates the impact of using open-source software in the different phases of the entrepreneurship journey, from the academic research to the commercialisation of the product, passing through technology transfer.
