Online Services User Day in Prague

The event is primarily aimed at patent attorneys and IP support staff. The one-and-a-half-day event will feature a combination of keynote presentations and various seminars on the patent granting procedure, including hands-on PC workshops.

One of the main topics featured will be the new approach to filing at the EPO with DOCX format, which will be highlighted in a plenary session and further elaborated in a subsequent breakout session.

Additional plenary sessions will be held on Industry 4.0 and its impact on the patent system, how the EPO accesses Asian documentation and the EPO's Early Certainty initiative. A wide range of seminars will be on offer. Subjects include:

• Mailbox, My Files and Online Fee Payment, including the new credit card payment option

• Opposition and appeal procedures before the EPO

• Hands-on workshops on the online filing (CMS) web-based application and the established Online Filing software

(Whole programme.)

Throughout the user day there will be plenty of opportunities to discuss current and future developments with EPO experts.

The registration fee is is 95.00 € (incl. legal VAT). It is recommended to register as soon as possible; places for the hands-on workshops in particular are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The closing date for registration is 10 November 2017.
